Symptom 7: Frequent or Severe Headaches
We’ve all been there – a long day, stress, or even a skipped meal can lead to a throbbing head. However, when it comes to ALL, these headaches aren’t your regular tension-induced aches. They’re frequent, severe, and can be accompanied by other symptoms like dizziness or even vision changes.
So, what’s the connection between headaches and ALL? The answer lies in the increased number of leukemia cells, which can lead to a decrease in the normal blood cells. This drop can subsequently reduce the amount of oxygen that reaches the brain, leading to headaches.
Additionally, headaches might not always be isolated. They could come with bouts of dizziness, making one feel off-balance. There could also be vision changes, blurring, or even floaters. These symptoms are a direct consequence of the blood’s inability to carry sufficient oxygen to the eyes and brain. (7)
