Memory, our link to the past, isn’t spared by AIWS. Past events might seem either too distant or surprisingly recent. It’s not about forgetting but about misjudging the temporal distance of memories.
This temporal distortion in memory can be unsettling. Significant life events might feel like they happened just yesterday, while recent happenings might seem like distant memories.
