9. Lack of eye contact
A person with Asperger’s Syndrome has difficulty maintaining eye contact with the people with whom they communicate.
10. Repetitive motor mannerisms
People with Asperger’s may have limited and repetitive physical behavioral patterns. In particular, they may have repetitive motor mannerisms.
These may include self-stimulating behaviors, often in times of stress: swaying, particular mouth sounds, flapping the arms, rocking, jumping, spinning, head-butting, and shaking, complex bodily movements. These repetitive movements can also involve interaction with an object, like spinning a rubber band or a piece of string or repeatedly feeling a particular texture.
