Symptoms of Bladder Infection in children.
Telling if a child has a bladder infection can be quite difficult, because the symptoms can be similar to other conditions and young children cannot easily explain how they feel.
The child may suddenly become restless and anxious without any obvious reason. At the same time, they may lose appetite and show visible fear and panic when going to urinate because of the pain and burning sensation. High temperatures and fever are very common in infants and toddlers. If the child is a bit older, they are probably going to experience the symptoms typical for adults. So, the main symptoms of bladder infection in children include:
- a high temperature (fever) of 100.4°F (38°C) or above;
- weakness and tiredness;
- irritability;
- reduced appetite;
- vomiting;
- pain, burning or stinging when peeing.
