Frequent Symptoms.
The most frequent signs and symptoms include:
- Sore throat, especially when swallowing (without a cough);
- Fever and chills;
- Headaches;
- Fatigue and decreased appetite;
- Enlarged lymph nodes which feel like lumps on the sides of the neck or armpits;
- Small red or purple spots on the roof of the mouth;
- Redness and swelling in the back of the throat;
- White patches on the back of the throat;
- Bad breath.
If you start having any of the above symptoms, be sure to take precautions so as not to infect the people around you. You can spread the infection through sneezing and coughing, or by touching objects if there is saliva or mucus on your hands.
