- Side effects of antibiotics, antidepressants, anti-seizure medications or blood pressure medicine;
- Drinking too much alcohol at a time or long term misuse;
- Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
Risk factors
Factors that may increase the risk of getting dizzy include:
- Age. Older adults are more likely to have medical conditions that cause dizziness, especially a sense of imbalance.
- A past episode of dizziness. If you’ve experienced dizziness before, you’re more likely to get a dizziness episode again in the future.
