Heart Attack Symptoms

2. Radiating Pain

Numbness and pain in the limbs are often a clear sign of an emergency – cardiac or not. Sometimes the pain is sharp and sudden, sometimes it’s duller and numbing. It’s the result of a decreased blood flow to the heart.

During a heart attack, the pain usually occurs in the left arm, but it might also develop in the right arm or both arms. This symptom might come together with chest pain or on its own.

In its initial stages, a heart attack may resemble osteochondrosis or heartburn due to discomfort in the upper spine.
