An irregular heartbeat is a consequence of pathologies in other body systems. However, heart palpitations are not always a symptom of the disease. In healthy people, tachycardia can be caused by increased nervous or physical stress. Doctors also distinguish pathological tachycardia, which is caused by cardiovascular, endocrine and other conditions. In this case, in addition to heart palpitations, patients also experience a number of accompanying symptoms, such as lack of air, dizziness, anxiety, fainting, vascular pulsation in the neck area. If in addition to constant heart palpitations there is also heaviness, chest pain, dizziness, and shortness of breath, it is most likely a symptom of MI.
