Symptom 12: Changes in Stool and Urine Colors
An Alarming Shift in Appearance
Changes in the color of your stool and urine can indicate pancreatic cancer. As mentioned earlier, jaundice can cause dark urine and light-colored stools due to the accumulation of bilirubin. Additionally, fatty stools (steatorrhea) may appear pale and greasy as a result of the pancreas’s impaired enzyme production. (14)
Monitoring and Reporting Changes
If you observe changes in the color of your stool or urine along with other symptoms discussed in this article, consult your healthcare provider. They will help determine the cause of the changes and recommend appropriate interventions, such as diagnostic tests and treatment of the underlying condition.
