Symptom 16: Enlarged Liver or Gallbladder
The Growing Organs
An enlarged liver or gallbladder can be a sign of pancreatic cancer. The tumor may obstruct the bile ducts, causing bile to accumulate in the liver or gallbladder and leading to enlargement. This can also contribute to the development of jaundice, as previously mentioned. (17)
Detecting Enlarged Organs
An enlarged liver or gallbladder can be detected through physical examination or imaging studies, such as an ultrasound or CT scan. If you experience symptoms of pancreatic cancer and your healthcare provider suspects an enlarged liver or gallbladder, they will likely order further tests to confirm the diagnosis and determine the cause.
