Symptoms in Women.
The most common chlamydia symptoms in women include:
- pain or burning during urination;
- urinating more often than usual;
- unusual vaginal discharge (abnormal amount, yellowish/greenish or strong smelling);
- pain during penetrative vaginal sex;
- vaginal swelling.
If the chlamydia infection travels up to the cervix and uterus, it is possible to also experience the following symptoms:
- pain in the lower belly or back (similar to period cramps);
- bleeding between periods or after vaginal sex;
- feeling nauseous;
- having sub febrile temperature (99 F – 100.3 F/37,5 °C – 38,0 °C).
