Symptom 9: Fatigue and Weakness
Fatigue and weakness are common symptoms experienced by individuals with SJS. These symptoms may be a result of the body’s response to the condition or may stem from complications, such as dehydration and malnutrition.
As the body fights the underlying cause of SJS, it may divert energy and resources away from non-essential functions, leading to feelings of fatigue and weakness. Additionally, the pain and discomfort associated with SJS can make it difficult to sleep, further exacerbating fatigue.
It is crucial to address and manage fatigue and weakness during the course of SJS, as these symptoms can impact the individual’s ability to engage in essential self-care and healing activities. (9)
