For school-going children, these cognitive challenges can be particularly disheartening. They might find themselves lagging, not due to a lack of effort, but because of the neurological impediments. Tasks that were once easy might now seem mountainous, leading to frustration and a dwindling self-esteem.
The journey here is twofold. Firstly, caregivers and educators need to recognize these challenges, refraining from labeling them as laziness or lack of intelligence. Secondly, adaptive teaching techniques, tailored learning environments, and perhaps additional learning aids can bridge the gap, ensuring that these individuals continue to learn and grow, albeit at their own pace.
