17. Shellfish
Shellfish, such as shrimp, crab, and lobster, can be high in purines, which are compounds that can trigger an inflammatory response in some individuals with arthritis. This inflammation can lead to increased joint pain and stiffness, making arthritis symptoms worse.
If you suspect that shellfish may be contributing to your arthritis symptoms, try eliminating them from your diet for a few weeks to see if your symptoms improve.
