Symptom 7: Fatigue – The Unrelenting Exhaustion
Fatigue or constant tiredness is a frequently reported symptom of Hashitoxicosis. Even with ample sleep, people with Hashitoxicosis may find it difficult to carry out regular daily activities without feeling drained.
This fatigue stems from the overactivity of the body’s processes due to increased thyroid hormone levels. Despite the hyperactivity of body processes, people with Hashitoxicosis might feel perpetually tired. It’s as if they’re running a marathon every day, even when they’re not physically active.
Moreover, other symptoms like rapid heart rate, excessive sweating, and weight loss can also contribute to the feeling of fatigue. These symptoms can drain the body’s energy reserves, leading to exhaustion.
One key thing to remember is that this isn’t ordinary tiredness that improves with rest. It’s a chronic, persistent fatigue that doesn’t improve with sleep or rest. It affects one’s productivity, concentration, and overall quality of life. (7)
