Symptom 10: Fatigue or Weakness
Fatigue or general weakness is a common but often overlooked symptom of many cancers, including Medullary Thyroid Cancer. Patients may report feeling consistently tired, despite getting plenty of rest. This fatigue can be so severe that it interferes with daily activities.
This sense of fatigue or weakness is not merely feeling a bit tired after a long day. It’s a profound, debilitating tiredness that isn’t alleviated by rest or sleep. This symptom is often the result of the body’s increased demand for energy as it works to fight the cancer cells.
While fatigue and weakness can be symptoms of many different conditions, not just MTC, persistent fatigue should not be ignored.
