2. The Lymphoma Spreads its Wings
Transitioning from its initial confinement, in Stage 2, DLBCL stretches its legs. It now impacts two or more lymph node areas, but there’s a catch – they’re all on one side of the diaphragm, either all above or all below.
With the expansion comes a surge in symptoms. Beyond fatigue, the swelling of impacted lymph nodes becomes noticeable. Night sweats or unexplained fevers could become a routine nuisance.
Advanced imaging tests now start showing the spread more clearly, indicating the need for a revised treatment approach.
The treatment approach might undergo changes, incorporating a more aggressive stance given the expanded battleground. (2)
