Bone pain can be a symptom of advanced MTC. This typically occurs when the cancer has spread, or metastasized, to the bones. Bone metastases can cause severe pain and may also lead to fractures.
The pain may be persistent or come and go, and it often worsens at night. It may be localized to one area or could be widespread, depending on the extent of the cancer’s spread.
