3. Gargling
Gargling with apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial and disinfectant properties and will help relieve throat irritation caused by coughing. However, it’s important to be careful not to overuse it, as it is highly acidic and can damage tooth enamel. Always dissolve it and rinse the mouth after using it.
The recipe is: pour three tablespoons of cider vinegar into a cup of water and heat the mixture. Once it becomes pleasantly warm, rinse the mouth with it, taking care to leave it in the back of the throat for a while.
Salt water gargle
A very effective natural remedy, salt water provides instant relief from a dry, incessantly irritating cough and moisturizes the throat, which can help soothe the pain. It can be used several times a day, evening and morning, as soon as a tingling in the throat appears. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to a glass of warm water, dissolve and gargle for a few minutes, spitting it out afterwards.
