How to lower Triglycerides

Drink water

Avoid soda, sweet tea, fruit juices and other sweetened drinks containing fructose (which boosts triglycerides). The extra calories from such drinks can also contribute to extra body weight, which puts additional strain on your heart and causes an increase in cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Water is the healthiest and cheapest option when it comes to thirst quenching. Try adding lemon or lime for flavor. If you prefer tea, be sure to leave sugar out of your cup. Try flavored tea with herbs or spices instead. [7]
