Symptoms in Men.
It is usually men who don’t notice or experience any chlamydia symptoms. However, if any show up, they are likely to appear in the morning. The most common ones include:
- pain or burning when urinating;
- burning or itching in the urethra;
- pus; creamy, milky, cloudy or watery discharge from the penis;
- pain or swelling in the testicles.
Other Symptoms.
Chlamydia symptoms can also manifest in the rectum, throat or even the eyes. This is common for all sexes and requires medical attention.
The anus and rectum.
It is highly likely to get chlamydia through unprotected anal sex (especially in the receiving role). Common symptoms include swelling in or around the anus, discharge or bleeding, or diarrhea.
The throat.
Unprotected oral sex with a Chlamydia-infected partner may cause a sore throat, pus on the tonsils, and pain during swallowing.
