Many people with CTS experience a sensation similar to their hand “falling asleep,” particularly during the night. This sensation is caused by the median nerve being compressed, which can disrupt blood flow and nerve function in the hand.
This sensation can be particularly troublesome during sleep, as it may cause a person to wake up multiple times throughout the night. As a result, individuals with CTS may struggle with sleep quality and feel fatigued during the day.
